SPDP-PEG-amine, MW 2,000 is a pyridyl disulfide modified polyPEG which can react with thiol moiety to produce a new disulfide bond and generating unreactive pyridine-2-thione as a by product. The newly-formed disulfide bond can be cleaved with a reducing agent such as dithiothreitol (DTT). The amine moiety is reactive with an activated ester (NHS) or with a carboxylic acid in the presence of activator, such as HATU or EDC. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
