PolyPEG-stearic acid is an amphiphatic polymer which can form micelles in an aqueous solution. The aliphatic 18-carbon of stearic acid is hydrophobic and can be used to encapsulate drugs/therapeutic agents, while the hydrophilic PEG chain helps the overall solubility of the micelles.This polymer is commonly used for controlled release drug delivery system.
