NH2-PLGA(20k)-PEG(5k)-MAL is an NHS ester reactive amphiphilic polymer. Upon dispersion, the hydrophobic poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) is shielded from the water by the PEG. The PLGA core regions can serve as reservoir for hydrophobic drugs in nanomicellar drug delivery formulation. The maleimide moiety attached to PEG can react with thiol to form a stable thioether bond. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
