COOH-PLGA(5k)-PEG(5k)-MAL is an amphiphile block copolymer which can self-assemble in water to form micelles (poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) as a core is shielded by PEG). The core regions can serves as hydrophobic drugs reservoirs which can then be delivered 'stealthily' in vivo. The carboxylic acid is reactive with N-terminus of protein/peptide or other amino molecule in the presence of an activator such as HATU/EDC. The maleimide group can react with thiol to form a stable thioether bond. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
