COOH-PLGA(10k)-PEG(1k)-MAL is a heterobifunctional block copolymer with terminal carboxyl and maleimide. The polymer can react with an amine in presence of activator, such as HATU or EDC. The maleimide moiety attached to PEG can react with thiol to form a stable thioether bond. The self-assembling polymer can be used to prepare drug loaded nanoparticles where the drugs are encapsulated in the core of the micelles which then be delivered to a specific target. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
