PLGA(3k)-mPEG(1k) is a self-assembling block copolymer with poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) as hydrophobic segment and PEG as hydrophilic block. The polymer can be used to prepare drug loaded nanoparticles where the core PLGA regions serve as reservoirs for hydrophobic drugs. The PLGA polyester is biodegradable via hydrolysis on the ester bonds. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
