PLGA(10k)-PEG(1k)-ALK is a diblock amphiphile polymer which forms micelles upon dispersion in water. The polymeric micelles consists of hydrophobic core-forming block poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) and hydrophilic shell-forming PEG block. It can be used to encapsulate drugs for nanomedicine/drug delivery. The polyester PLGA is biodegradable via hydrolysis on the ester bonds. The alkyne moiety can react with azide molecule to form a stable triazole linkage via copper click chemistry. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
