PLGA(20k)-PEG(5k)-FOL can be used to prepare nanoparticles for drug delivery applications. The polymer contains a hydrophobic poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) block attached to a hydrophilic PEG block. The polyester PLGA allows hydrolytic degradation on the ester bonds. The folic acid moiety can strongly bind with folate receptor in neutral pH and transports them into cells. This property enables site specific delivery of therapeutic agents in a drug delivery system. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
