PLGA(10k)-PEG(1k)-IA is a linear block copolymer with terminal iodoacetyl. The polymer can react with thiol molecule to form a stable thioether bond. The self-assembling polymer can be used to prepare drug loaded nanoparticles where the drugs are encapsulated in the core of the micelles which then be delivered to a specific target. The PLGA is biodegradable via hydrolytic attack on the ester bonds. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
