PLGA(10k)-PEG(5k)-IA is a diblock copolymer with poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) as a hydrophobic block and PEG as a hydrophilic block. The terminal iodoacetyl can react with thiol (SH) via thioether linkage formation. In aqueous media, the polymer can self-assemble to form micelles used to encapsulate hydrophobic drugs for controlled release drug delivery. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
