PLGA(3k)-PEG(1k)-N3 is an azide terminated amphiphile block copolymer. The terminal azide is reactive with alkyne, such as DBCO, BCN, or terminal alkyne (with Cu catalyst), to form a triazole bond. In water, the polymer can form micelles where the core and shell are made of hydrophobic poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) and hydrophilic PEG, respectively. It can be used to prepare drug nanocarrier in drug delivery system. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
