PLGA(2k)-PEG(3k)-RhB is a diblock amphipathic polymer which can form micelles upon dispersion in an aqueous media. The polymer is biodegradable via hydrolytic attack on the ester linkages. The OH terminals on poly(lactide-co-glycolide) side can be further derivatized while the rhodamine dye on the PEG side can be used for labeling/staining. This class of polymer enables new avenues for drug delivery, gene therapy, and tissue engineering. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
