OPSS-PEG-NHS, MW 2,000 is a polyPEG liner that contains a orthopyridyl disulfide (OPSS) group and a terminal NHS group. The terminal OPSS group can selectively react with a free thiol, SH, sulfhydryl or mercapto. The NHS group can participate in reactions with primary amine groups to form amide bonds. The hydrophilic polyPEG chain increases the water solubility of the compound in aqueous environments. Reagent grade, for research use only.
