PDLLA(1K)-PEG(5K)-Maleimide is an amphiphile, a poly(D,L-lactide) (PDLLA), and PEG block copolymer linker containing a hydroxyl group and a terminal maleimide group. The hydroxyl group readily participates in hydrogen bonding, generating either a net positively or negatively charged ion and can also participate in chemical reactions to link molecules together. The maleimide group will react with a thiol group to form a covalent bond. Reagent grade, for research use only.
