mPEG(5k)-PCL(1k)-COOH contains a polyester polycaprolactone (PCL) block and a hydrophilic PEG block. The PCL is biodegradable via hydrolysis on the ester bonds. This amphiphilic polymer can be used for nanomicellar formulations in controlled release drug delivery. The carboxyl group is reactive with amine via amide bond formation in the presence of HATU or EDC. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
