PCL(2k)-PEG(5k)-NH2 can self-assemble upon dispersion in aqueous solution where the polycaprolactone (PCL) core being shielded by PEG shell. The micelles formation can be used to encapsulate hydrophobic biopharmaceutical drugs which is then delivered in vivo. The amine group is reactive with an NHS ester or with a carboxyl (COOH) in the presence of activating agent, such as HATU or EDC, to form a stable amide linkage. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
