PCL(5k)-PEG(5k)-NHS is an amphiphile block copolymer with hydrophobic polycaprolactone (PCL) block chemically attached to a hydrophilic PEG block. Upon dispersion in water, the polymer self assembles to form micelles which can encapsulate drugs for drug delivery. The coupling between succinimidyl ester and amine can be rapidly accomplished at pH 7-9 via formation of covalent amide bond. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
