PCL(2k)-PEG(6k)-PCL(2k) is a linear triblock ABA copolymer. The polymer is amphipathic with a central hydrophilic PEG block in between two terminal hydrophobic polycaprolactone (PCL). In water, the polymer self-assembles to form micelles with the arrangment of PCL core and PEG shell. The core regions can serve as hydrophobic drugs reservoir while the shell can provide protection against degradation. The hydroxyl terminals can be used for further derivatization. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
