PLA(4k)-PEG(5k)-ALK is a micelle-forming polymer with hydrophobic poly(D,L-lactide) (racemic) block chemically connected to a hydrophilic PEG block. The alkyne group is reactive with azide via copper catalyzed click chemistry to form a stable triazole bond. The PLA core can be used to encapsulate hydrophobic drugs while the PEG can form a tight shell around the core to minimize drug degradation. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
