PLA(4k)-PEG(2k)-COOH is an amphiphilic polymer for bioconjugatoin between carboxyl and amine in the presence of activating agent, such as HATU or EDC. The polymer can self-assemble in water to form micelles which can encapsulate hydrophobic therapeutic agents in a controlled delivery system. The PLA is made of a racemic poly(D-lactide)/poly(L-lactide). Reagent grade, for research purpose.
