PLLA(2k)-PEG(5k)-NH2 is a linear amphiphilic block copolymer with poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) as a hydrophobic block and PEG as a hydrophilic block. The amine terminus can react readily with an active NHS ester at physiological condition or with a carboxylic acid in the presence of activator, such as HATU or EDC, to form a covalent amide bond. The self-assembling polymer can be used for nanomicellar formulations for sustained drug delivery. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
