OPSS-PGlu, MW 20,000 is a synthetic polyamino acid having one COOH function per glutamic acid unit and a terminal Orthopyridyl disulfide (OPSS) group. pGlu is soluble in water(alkaline solution), dichloroacetic acid, chloroform, DMF(warm), and dioxane. The terminal OPSS group can selectively react with free thiol, SH, sulfhydryl or mercapto to form reversible disulfide bonds.
