BP Fluor 488 is a class of popular labeling reagents for the 488 nm channel (488 nm laser; 530/30 nm filter). The dye has an excitation peak at 499 nm and an emission peak at 520 nm. BP Fluor 488 features as a high fluorescence quantum yield and photostability. It is stable over a wide pH range. BP Fluor 488 dye molecules can be attached to proteins at high molar ratios without significant self-quenching, enabling brighter conjugates and more sensitive detection.
The probes of BP Fluor 488 are widely used to detect low-abundance biological structures with great sensitivity. The conjugates are widely used in microscopy, flow cytometry, and other applications.
