PCL(3k)-mPEG(1k) is a self-assembling block copolymer with polycaprolactone (PCL) as hydrophobic segment and PEG as hydrophilic block. The polymer can be used to prepare drug loaded nanoparticles where the core PCL regions serve as reservoirs for hydrophobic drugs. The PCL polyester is biodegradable via hydrolytic attack on the ester bonds. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
