PCL(1k)-mPEG(1k) is a block copolymer with polycaprolactone (PCL) as a hydrophobic segment and PEG as a hydrophilic block. The polymer is amphipathic and can self-assemble in aqueous media to form micelle which can be used to prepare nanoparticles for drug encapsulation in nanomedicine/drug delivery. The polyester PCL is biodegradable via hydrolytic attack on the ester bonds. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
