PCL(1k)-PEG(3k)-COOH is a block copolymer which possesses both hydrophobic (polycaprolactone (PCL)) and hydrophilic block (PEG). The polymer can self-assemble in water where the hydrophilic block (PEG) will face the water and the hydrophobic block (PCL) will be shielded from the water. The polymer can be used to encapsulate hydrophobic therapeutic agents. Carboxylic acid moiety is reactive with amino molecule in the presence of activator (HATU/EDC) via amide linkage formation. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
