PCL(5k)-PEG(1k)-FITC has hydrophobic polycaprolactone (PCL) chemically attached to hydrophilic PEG block. The polymer is biodegradable via ester bonds hydrolysis. The polymer is modified with fluorescein (green) dye which has peak absorption or excitation at 494 nm and maximum emission at 521 nm. The molecule can form micelles spontaneously in water. It can be used to prepare nanocarrier for delivering therapeutic agents. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
