PLGA(1.4k)-PEG(1k)-PLGA(1.4k) is a large PEG-PLGA conjugate containing a two hydrophobic poly(lactide-co-glycolide) groups linked together by a hydrophilic PEG spacer. PLGA is often used in forming lipid nanoparticles for drug delivery, for which it is highly valued as it is also biodegradable along its ester bonds. PLGA can also be functionalized at its terminal secondary alcohols to further expand its chemical complexity.
