Mal-PEG-SCM, MW 1,000 is a polyPEG liner that contains a maleimide group and a terminal succinimidyl carboxyl methyl ester group. The maleimide group will react with a thiol group to form a covalent bond. The succinimidyl carboxyl methyl ester group is a good leaving group and commonly reacts with amine nucleophiles at pH 7 to 9. Reagent grade, for research use only.
