PC Biotin-PEG3-NHS carbonate ester
PC Biotin-PEG3-NHS carbonate ester is a unique amine reactive, photocleavable biotin reagent that allows for reagent-free release of the captured biomolecules from streptavidin beads. This reagent contains a biotin moiety linked to the amine reactive N-hydroxysuccinimidyl (NHS) mixed carbonate through a spacer arm containing a photocleavable moiety. The NHS portion of this compound reacts specifically with primary amine groups on the target molecule(s) to form a carbamate linkage. Captured biomolecules can be efficiently photoreleased, typically >90% in 5-25 minutes using an inexpensive, near-UV, low intensity lamp (e.g. 365 nm lamp at 1-5 mW/cm2). Reagent grade, for research purpose. Please contact us for GMP-grade inquiries.
