PCL(4k)-PEG(2k)-COOH is an amphiphilic polymer for bioconjugatoin between carboxyl and amine in the presence of activating agent, such as HATU or EDC. The polymer can self-assemble in water to form micelles which can encapsulate hydrophobic therapeutic agents in a controlled delivery system. The polyester, polycaprolactone (PCL), is biodegradable via hydrolytic attack on the ester bonds. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
