ACRL-PLA(2k)-PEG(1k)-PLA(2k)-ACRL contains hydrophilic PEG block in between hydrophobic PLA (racemic) blocks. Upon dispersion in water, the polymer can self-assemble to form micelles and can be used to encapsulate hydrophobic drugs. The ester bonds of PLA is biodegradable via hydrolysis which can be useful for controlled release drug delivery. The terminal acrylates can be polymerized in the presence of radical initiator. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
