N-(t-butyl ester-PEG3)-N-bis(PEG3-amine) is a branched conjugation reagent with a terminal t-butyl group and a terminal pair of amine groups. The amino group is reactive with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters, carbonyls (ketone, aldehyde), etc. The t-butyl group can be deprotected under acidic conditions. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases the hydrophilic properties of the compound.
