MC-Val-Cit-PAB-SN38 is a cleavable ADC linker featuring a maleimide, a Val-Cit dipeptide, a PAB group and an SN38 warhead. Maleimide is a covalent ligand used for linking thiols such as those in cysteines residues in proteins, while the Val-Cit-PAB motif is an enzyme-cleavable linker. This linker efficiently releases the toxin, SN38, to target cells to cause cellular apoptosis.
