Glucosyl(ß) Sphingosine (d18:1) is a glucosylsphingosine, a deacetylated lysolipid derivative of glucocerebrosides formed by glucosidation of sphingosines with UDP-glucose. It inhibits neurite outgrowth and induces cell death in LA-N-2 cells at concentrations of 10 and 50 μM, respectively, and decreases glucocerebrosidase activity in a dose-dependent manner.
