D-d-Tocopherol
D-δ-Tocopherol is a biologically active form of vitamin E and a lipid-soluble antioxidant that protects cellular membranes from oxidative damage. It modulates lipid peroxidation in hepatocytes and hepatic microsomes in a concentration-dependent manner. In endothelial cells, it reduces capillary formation, VCAM expression, and invasiveness. In MCF-7 breast cancer cells, it decreases estrogen-responsive gene expression and oxidative stress markers. Dietary administration of D-δ-Tocopherol also inhibits tumor growth in an estrogen-supplemented MCF-7 mouse xenograft model. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
