N-bis(N-Boc-PEG6)-N-(PEG6-acid) is a trifunctional linker containing a pair of Boc-protected amines and a carboxylic acid. The carboxylic acid is free to couple with amines or alcohols to form amides or esters respectively. The amine group is open for use as a nucleophile following Boc deprotection in acid. The long PEG spacer provides high aqueous solubility and alters DMPK.
