Alkyne-ethyl-PEG-t-Butyl ester is a PEG derivative containing alkyne group and a a t-butyl protected carboxyl group. The protected carboxyl group can be deprotected under mild acidic conditions. The propargyl group can be reacted with azide-bearing compounds or biomolecules via copper catalyzed azide-alkyne Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage.
